Retailers

The Retailers page is a read-only list of every retailer you have bought from. It is sorted by order count, so the places you buy from most sit at the top. Use it for a quick view of where your purchases come from.

The list

Each row shows:

  • Name: the retailer's name. Seller Oracle tidies this up when it creates the record, dropping business suffixes like "Ltd" or "GmbH" and anything in brackets, so "Example Trading Ltd" becomes "Example Trading".
  • Domain: the retailer's website domain (for example amazon.co.uk), if Seller Oracle picked one up from the email. Shows - when it has none.
  • Orders: how many orders you have from that retailer. Click the number to open the Orders page filtered to just that retailer. Hidden orders are not counted.
  • Notes: a free-text note field. Shows - when empty.

How retailers get created

You do not add retailers by hand. Seller Oracle creates them for you as it processes your emails. The first time an order comes in from a retailer it has not seen before, it adds a record using the name and domain it read from the email.

It also matches on later orders, so a retailer that turns up under a slightly different name (extra spacing, a "Limited" on the end, a domain in brackets) is matched to the existing record rather than creating a duplicate.

Every retailer is also available as a filter on the Orders page, so you can pull up everything from one supplier from there too.
