Price history
Price history
When you buy something from a shop other than Amazon, Seller Oracle looks the product up once on a UK price comparison website, shortly after the purchase comes in. The order page then shows how the price you paid compares: the lowest price in the last 12 months, the cheapest shop with it in stock now, the lowest price ever, and a chart of the cheapest price each day over the last 12 months.
Price history comes with Starter, Plus and the 30-day trial. On the free plan nothing is looked up and nothing shows.
On the order page
Under each item that was found, a grey Price history line gives the 12-month low with its shop and date, and the cheapest shop with it in stock now, for example "12-month low £29.99 at Very, 21 Nov 2025 · Cheapest now £32.99 at Amazon". When there's no price in the last 12 months, the line gives the lowest ever instead. See history takes you down to the item's part of the Price history card.
The Price history card sits under the items, with a part for each item that was found:
- A chart of the cheapest price each day over the last 12 months. On an order in pounds, a dashed line shows what you paid per unit, the same figure as the item's unit price. Move the pointer, or your finger, along the chart to see each day's price and shop, or click the chart and use the arrow keys. Days with no price are left as gaps. When there's no price in the last 12 months, the card says "No prices in the last 12 months." in place of the chart.
- The lowest price in the last 12 months, the cheapest shop with it in stock now and the lowest price ever, each with its shop. Delivery shows on its own: free delivery, the delivery cost, or "delivery not shown" when the shop didn't give one.
- How many shops have it in stock now, and the five cheapest.
- The day it was checked.
Everyone on your account sees price history. The owner or an admin can hide the card by turning off Price history card on order pages in Settings. The line under each item stays, without See history.
Which purchases are looked up
- Stock purchases from shops other than Amazon, wholesale suppliers such as Qogita included. Amazon purchases aren't, as Keepa covers them.
- Each purchase dated in the last 30 days, once, within minutes of it coming in. Nothing is checked again, so the card says when it was checked. Changing an item's name later doesn't look it up again.
- The item is matched by its barcode first, then by its name. When Seller Oracle isn't sure it found the same product, such as a different size, shade or pack count, nothing shows.
- Only the product's name or barcode is sent to the price comparison website, never anything about you, the shop you bought from or what you paid.
Under Show all on the item's Background checks line, the Price history check says whether its price history was found, wasn't found on price sites, or couldn't be checked. When every price found was at a shop that's left out, there's nothing to show, so the line and the card stay hidden even though the check says found.
Shops left out
Prices from marketplaces and overseas sellers, such as eBay, OnBuy, Temu and SHEIN, never count, in the figures, the chart or the shops in stock. A day's price that is clearly a listing error, under a third or over three times the product's usual price, is left out of the chart, the 12-month low and the lowest ever.
Streaming mode
While streaming mode is on, every shop name in price history reads "a shop". The prices and dates still show.
