Late deliveries, counted from dispatch
Late deliveries are now counted from the day a parcel was dispatched, not the day you ordered it, and they have their own Late tab on Orders.
What's new
- Counted from dispatch. An order is late once more days than your limit have gone by without it being delivered. For a dispatched order, the count starts on the day its first dispatch email arrived. An order that hasn't been dispatched counts from the day you ordered it.
- A Late tab on Orders. Every late order is in one place. The Late deliveries row on the dashboard and the Late deliveries tab in the Action Centre both take you there.
- Why it's late. In the Journey view, a late order says "not dispatched" under its Dispatched step, or something like "dispatched 10d ago (3d late)" under Delivered.
- Chased the shop. Tap the order's Ordered step to open Order status, then press Chased the shop: hide for 7 days, with your own number of days. The order leaves the Late tab for that long and comes back if it still hasn't arrived.
Why we built it
Lateness used to be counted from the order date. An order you placed five weeks ago that shipped two days ago showed as weeks overdue, when it was on its way. Some shops take weeks to dispatch, so the list filled up with orders that weren't late at all, and it was easy to miss the ones that were.
Counting from dispatch means the Late tab shows the parcels that really are stuck.
Where to find it
Open Orders and choose the Late tab. You set how many days counts as late in Settings > Order progress, under Late deliveries. It starts at 7 days, and the account owner or an admin can change it. The Chased the shop button is in the Journey view, for the owner, admins, members and VAs.
The Orders help article has the details.
