Same product, one SKU
When you buy the same product several times in one go, Seller Oracle now groups those orders so they share one SKU.
What's new
- Orders group themselves. When a new order shares an ASIN with an order in the same currency bought within an hour of it, the two join one group. It works across shops and buyer accounts, unless your SKU format adds the shop or the order date.
- One SKU per product. Every item of the same product in a group gets the same SKU, even if you paid different prices. Items already listed or at a prep centre keep the SKU they have.
- Mark it once. Mark an item listed, or sent to prep, and the same product on the group's other orders gets the same mark. The message tells you how many other orders changed.
- Group by hand. Tick two or more orders on the Orders list and press Group together. Use Remove from group on the group's page to take one out.
You'll see a Group of 3 tag on the Orders list, and a Group row with View group on the order page. The group's page lists its products, their SKUs and every order in it.
Why we built it
A good deal rarely comes one unit at a time. We buy the limit on one account, then again on another, sometimes from a second shop. Every one of those orders used to get its own SKU, which meant duplicate listings in Seller Central and extra lines to sort out at the prep centre.
Where to find it
Groups show on Orders and on each order page. There's nothing to switch on. Orders that came in before 8 October weren't grouped on their own, but you can group them by hand. The account owner, admins, members and VAs can group and ungroup orders.
