Everything new since September
A lot has gone into Seller Oracle since the start of September, so here's all of it in one place, grouped by where you'll find it.
What's new
The bigger features each have a post of their own.
- Can I sell it? Know before you list
- A faster Action Centre
- Late deliveries, counted from dispatch
- Same product, one SKU
- Every order on one line
- Invoices in bulk
- Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your buying
- Subscribe & Save orders, found
Everything else is below.
Action Centre
- Restocks clear themselves. Restock something you've already listed, on the same ASIN and SKU, and the new item is marked listed for you.
- Flags clear themselves. No payment amount found, and Order total stated but some item prices are missing, now clear on their own once the missing figures arrive.
- Fix an ASIN for the whole group. Change a wrong ASIN on the Orders list or an order page, and we offer the same change for the other unlisted items of that product in its group.
Orders
- Product pictures. Every stock item with an ASIN shows its Amazon picture, with a bigger one when you hover over it or tap it. You can switch to an eye, or turn pictures off, in Settings > Appearance.
- History and Activity. Each order page has a History of changes to its status, items, steps, invoices, refunds and amounts since 3 October, with who made each one. Activity in the top bar shows the changes across all your orders.
- Categories. Use the Category row on the order page to mark a purchase as Stock, Packaging and supplies, Equipment, Software and subscriptions, Shipping and prep, Professional services or Other business costs. You can also have a shop's new purchases filed the same way every time. Anything that isn't Stock stops asking for an ASIN and prep.
- Copy buttons. Click a delivery code to copy it, use Copy all on the dashboard, and copy an order number or a SKU straight from the Orders list.
- Tracking numbers. The order page shows each parcel's tracking number and carrier, when the shop's email gives them.
- A live order page. It updates by itself when something changes, and keeps your place after a save.
- Settled amount from the list. On a foreign-currency order, the pencil beside an estimate like ~£44.12 lets you type what your card or bank charged.
- Delete an item. Take a line off an order, like a free gift, with Delete on the order page. The order total and your spend stay as they are.
- Item names on hover. Hover your mouse over any ASIN to see the item's name.
- A new look, with a light and a dark theme in Settings > Appearance.
Getting orders in
- Argos delivery bookings. An Argos order that only sends a delivery booking email now becomes an order on its own.
- One order, several numbers. An invoice or email that quotes your original order number now joins that order instead of starting a new one.
- Part cancellations and returns. On an order with several items, a cancellation or return closes only the items it covers. The order total doesn't change, and the refund comes off your spend when its email arrives.
- Repeat refund emails are checked. When an order already has a refund, a new refund email that might be a repeat is held for a check instead of being booked, so one refund isn't counted twice.
- Amazon Germany, France, Italy and Spain. These sites don't send a delivered email, so in the Journey view the Delivered step turns amber once the order is out for delivery, to remind you to mark it.
SKUs and listing
- Smarter SKUs. A repeat buy of the same ASIN at the same price reuses its SKU. New SKUs write foreign product names in English, and a foreign-currency order's SKU shows the price in your home currency.
- Amazon's price while you list. With Amazon connected, the List on Amazon pop-up shows the Buy Box or lowest offer beside Sell price.
- Better listing pop-ups. ASINs and SKUs have copy buttons in the List on Amazon pop-up. In the Journey view, the Amazon step's pop-up names each item, and its List on Amazon pop-up has an Open on Amazon link. The owner or an admin turns the Amazon step on with Added to Amazon in Settings > Order progress.
Invoices and money
- Upload your card export. If your home currency is pounds, upload your Capital on Tap CSV export on the Action Centre's Confirm amounts tab. Seller Oracle fills in what your card charged in pounds on your euro and dollar orders, and never overwrites a figure you typed.
- Shipping in item cost. The owner or an admin can turn on Include shipping in item cost in Settings > Item cost, then split it evenly across all items or by each item's value.
Prep centre
- A rebuilt Prep centre tab in the Action Centre, for Source2Store users. It now has one row per product, with Last 30 days, Older and Files views. Downloading a file takes those lines off the list, and Files keeps each file with Download again and Undo. The account owner or an admin turns it on with I use Source2Store in Settings > Prep centre.
- Prep per item. Mark the items on an order sent to prep one at a time, from the Prep pop-up or with Mark items on the order page.
Your account
- Workspace menu. Click your workspace name at the top of the sidebar to see your badges. Owners and admins also see each inbox's health, with Reconnect when one needs it, a Get emails button and your forwarding addresses. On the Free and Starter plans, the owner also sees how many of the month's orders have been read.
- Badges. Earn badges for what you buy and track, like your spend, your orders and the shops you buy from. Your best ones show in the workspace menu, and See all opens the Badges page, with the ones you're nearly there on. Monthly badges come back every month you hit them.
- Settings in groups. Personal, Business, Connections, Apps and Orders.
- Account time zone. Dates and times follow your business's time zone. The owner or an admin sets it in Settings > Business details.
- Streaming mode. For sellers who show their buying on stream. The owner or an admin switches it on in Settings > Appearance, then anyone on the account can press Streaming in the top bar to hide shop names, order numbers, ASINs, SKUs and delivery codes.
- Hide Needs attention rows. In Settings > Personal > Appearance, turn off any Needs attention row you don't want on your own Dashboard. The Action Centre still shows them all.
Why we built it
Every one of these fixes something that cost sellers time, me included. If something doesn't work the way you'd expect, or there's something you'd like us to build, press Feedback in the sidebar or tell us in Discord.
Where to find it
Most of these work on their own, and the rest say where to look. From now on, every new feature gets its own post here. You'll find them all on the News page and under What's new in the sidebar.
